All Authority

Here I am worried about little things like my job, having enough money, making my job and marriage work.  And all the time Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth (Matt 28:18)! And He has said, "If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it will be given you," (John 15:7).  I don't ask Jesus so He will ask the Father for me, no, the Father Himself loves me and will give me all I ask (John 16:26-27)!  

I just have to receive, not in fear, not in arrogance, just in simple trust.  My children don't stand in faith claiming breakfast, lunch, and dinner, they just expect it.  Sometimes they go to the pantry and just help themselves.  So why should I have to stand forcefully and make myself believe?  God wants to give me every good thing.  I just need to accept it.

Jesus has authority over bankers and accountants, doctors and lawyers, politicians and the press, everything!  Jesus has authority over disease, demons, enemies, all powers and all authorities.  And He loves me.  And He has promised to give me whatever I believe Him for (Mk 11:24).  Thank You, Jesus!  Thank You Father!  I don't have to be afraid anymore!
